Himesh Reshammiya

Starting his career at a very young age, Himesh Reshammiya, was born on May 11, 1969 to the veteran Gujarati music director Vipin Reshammiya and Madhu. It was very late in his career that, in front of the media he declared that he was married to Komal and has a son Swayam.

At the age of 16, Himesh went into producing television serials for Zee TV which included serials such as Andaz & Amar Prem. While getting into music direction for Indian cinema, he approached actor Salman Khan . Himesh gives a lot of credit to Salman who gave him the opportunity to be a music director for Bandhan, one of his movies, along with the composer Anand Raj Anand. Eventually, Himesh started composing songs for movies that starred Salman. Himesh & Salman have had a string of hits for movies such as Pyar Kiya To Darna kya, Ye Hai Jalwa, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge and even the mega blockbuster album Tere Naam.

In 2008, with composing songs and staying behind the camera the singer turned actor came forward with his debut in Aap Kaa Sorroor which proved to be a hit. In the words of Himesh, “Jai Mata Di, Let’s Rock”!! and that’s what he intends to do… Rock the nation with his power packed performances – in front or behind the camera!
